Paul Salerno - Lower School Counselor

Paul graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lakeland College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. He received his Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he was a member of the Alpha Delta Mu National Social Work Honor Society. He is a licensed clinical social worker and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. He also holds the diplomat in clinical social work credential from the National Association of Social Workers. He has more than 40 years of counseling experience and has worked in inpatient, outpatient, and school settings. He has a part-time private practice as a licensed psychotherapist with a focus on children, adolescents, and young adults. Paul enjoys teaching social and emotional skills to University School of Milwaukee’s Lower School students. His passion is to help others achieve optimum mental health, wellness, and wholeness. He created a series of 11 YouTube developmental profiles on children ages 3 through 14, which can be found on the MyUSM site. Paul loves spending time with his wife, adult children, and grandchildren. He enjoys reading, singing, acting, and juggling.
