The Arts at USM
University School of Milwaukee believes that every child has abilities in creative expression, and that all students should be offered the opportunity to refine their artistic skills and showcase their abilities. USM has an incredible arts program beginning in prekindergarten and continuing through grade 12.
We recognize the importance of the arts to the intellectual and emotional growth of young people. Students develop their expressive capacity and strengthen their inner resources and self-confidence through participation in the arts. Our arts programs - which include programs in the visual arts, performing arts, music, and dance - promote appreciation and respect for the diversity of cultural and historical experiences as well as the self-discipline, collaboration, problem-solving, and perseverance that lead to success in many areas of life.
