Pluralism and Inclusivity

Mission Statement:
Supporting University School of Milwaukee’s justice, equity, diversity, and inclusivity (JEDI) work, the Pluralism and Inclusion (PI) group leads the school’s professional learning community activities. PI utilizes a case study method to foster dialogue and reflection among faculty and staff members, build connections and support the ongoing growth of our entire community.

Mary Jo Kendall, junior kindergarten teacher
Hannah Reimer, 7th grade English teacher
Joshua Miller, theatre technical director

Committee Goals for 2020-21:
  • Develop a collection of case studies covering a wide range of topics related to JEDI work. Plan 2-3 workshops in each division with case study protocol.
  • PI members also lead individual PI projects in our individual areas of interest and expertise. These projects will further the JEDI work in each of our divisions.
Committee Meetings:
PI meetings are not open to the public, but the committee meets every Tuesday throughout the school year.
