University School of Milwaukee offers world-class arts facilities for students in all grades. These state-of-the-art facilities offer our students the ability to practice their craft and showcase their talents.

The Peter L. Borisch Center for the Arts
Housed in the Middle School, this space is comprised of the following areas:

  • Sculpture, ceramics, and clay studio equipped with kilns
The Virginia Henes Young Theatre
Located in the Upper School and serving students of all ages, this space is used for drama and musical performances, as well as assemblies and other gathering activities.

  • Three-quarter thrust stage with proscenium arch
  • Back-stage workshop for set design and construction
  • 32-channel sound board, complete monitor system, and capability for sound effects automation and studio sound effects production
  • 72-channel computerized lighting board and complete dimmer system
  • More than 100 state-of-the-art lighting instruments
